Jesus Rodriguez Diaz



Dr. Jesús Rodríguez Díaz studied Biology (1995-2000) in the University of Valencia (Spain) and conducted his PhD studies in the same university and in the University of Linköping (Sweden) (2001-2005). Dr. Rodriguez has performed several postdoctoral stays in several national and international research centers and companies including the Venezuelan Research Council (CMBC-IVIC-Caracas, Venezuela; 2007-2008) and the Spanish research Council (IATA-CSIC, Valencia, Spain; 2009-2012) and Fiocruz Fundation in Rio de Janeiro Brasil (2014-2015). From 2015 Dr. Rodriguez works as senior researcher (Ramon y Cajal program) at the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Valencia (Valencia, Spain).

The main research interest  of Dr Rodríguez is the study of the interactions between the main intestinal viruses producing diarrhea (rotaviurs and norovirus) with the host and with the gut microbiota. Until the date Dr. Rodriguez has published more than 50 research articles in JCR indexed journals, 8 book chapters in scientific books and has participated in more than 75 communications to national and international congresses and scientific meetings. Dr. Rodriguez is also committed with the university teaching at the undergraduate, master and PhD levels having directed several degree and master theses as well as three PhD students.
