Dr. habil. med. Dace Gardovska is a professor, head of the Department of Paediatrics of Riga Stradiņš University. She is also the head of the Paediatric Clinic of the Children’s University Hospital. Her fields of research are paediatrics, paediatric infectious diseases and immunology. Dace Gardovska is the leading researcher of the HORIZON 2020 project „Personalised Risk assessment in febrile illness to Optimise Real-life Management across the European Union" (PERFORM). Prof. Gardovska was the leading researcher in 2014-2017 National Research Programme BIOMEDICINE for the Public Health (to study the biological features, social factors, environmental and health care organization of Latvian children in association with early individualized diagnostics, therapy, and prophylaxis of life-threatening and socially significant severe infectious and chronic diseases with the help of new diagnostic indicators). From 2014-2016 she was the leading researcher of RSU Research grant "Rotaviral infection in children; clinical peculiarities, molecular epidemiology in hospitalised children: quality of life of children and families".
Dace Gardovska is a full member of Latvian Academy of Science.
